rio tejo

MURAL LISBON, PT

The return of dolphins to the Tagus River.

The Extinction Landmark. The artist in partnership with the ANP/WWF in Portugal and Carlsberg developed this mural with the name “RIO TEJO”.

It is one of the first murals in Portugal with augmented reality and for that, just read the QR code on the wall.

At the beginning of the pandemic and while the world was at home, everything calmed down, namely all maritime traffic. This made the dolphins return to the Rio Tejo. Making Lisbon one of the European capitals with dolphins at the door. The reason for the return of this species is still under investigation, but one thing is certain. It is present in clean waters.

This mural is part of the #probablybetternow project. Know more here.
