ORIGINAL EXTINCTION ART PROJECT
Launched by the artist Edis One back in 2018, the mission behind this project is to use street art as a vessel to raise awareness towards one of the biggest extinction events our planet has ever endured.
His resume includes both national and international artwork. He started painting in 2007 as a hobby, but by 2011, art was already his only source of incoming. A self-made artist, who never gave up, always fighting for what he believes. He broke a Guinness Record in 2016, in the United Arab Emirates, and in 2017 one of his paintings figured in the famous Berardo Museum, in Lisbon. His professionalism his stamped in every project he decides to invest.
Extinction Art Project’s main purpose is to raise awareness, through street art, by painting walls depicted with endangered animals.
In 2019, he becomes an ambassador for ANP/WWF in Portugal, spreading their mission and developing projects together with this NGO. That is how the Wild Sponsor initiative emerged.
To become a Wild Sponsor, all you have to do identify the area where you would like to see an Original Extinction related artwork, like an office or your home. That way, not only will you be contributing for our mission, you will also be helping ANP/WWF, as part of artist’s revenue will be donated to their projects in Portugal.
Today, in 2022, Extinction has grown up and developed a new identity, with its own social media and website. It’s here to stay, to grow, to connect.
A way to raise awareness. This is the Original Extinction Project.
