FUN FACTS

In bombing one of the most used colors is silver. Not only because it stands out, but because is the New York subway’s color.

GRAFFITI AND STREET ART

In graffiti we mostly use letters as a form of expres- sion. Socially it is an art that does not please every- one. Ending up being associated with vandalism. Therefore street art creates more empathy.

Graffiti appears in Portugal.

SOME PIONEERS

Nomen, Youth, Obey and Mosaik.

STORIES

Long before social media, it was in magazines where we saw graffiti made abroad. Later, blogs started to appear where we put our pieces in a non-profession- al way.

what's is extinction art project?

Launched by the street artist Edis One back in 2018, the mission behind this project is to use street art as a vessel to raise awareness towards one of the biggest extinction events our planet has ever endured.

Today, in 2022, Extinction has grown up and developed a new identity, with its own social media and website. It’s here to stay, to grow, to connect.

a landmark in street art

In 1846, a fabric production plant (Companhia de Fiação e Tecidos Lisbonenses) was created in Alcântara, Lisbon.

Today it is not only one of the biggest creative hubs in Europe, but also a place linked to street art.

Currently we can see several works related to urban art.

The LX Factory is undergoing a transformation, due to the construction of two buildings.
